Ministry Philosophy Our ministry to Children's Ministry leaders and children should be characterized by:
Dependence on God demonstrated by a commitment to prayer, study of the Word of God, and obedience to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" John 15:5.
The pursuit of excellence in all that we do. "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good" Genesis 1:31.
Attempting all that God has placed in our hearts with courage. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" Joshua 1:9.
Striving for purity in word, thought, motive, and deed. "Create in me a pure heart, O God, . . .Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you" Psalm 51:10-13.
A consistent investment in the growth and development of others. "My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you," Galatians 4:19
Team efforts rather than individual efforts. We work together to accomplish the mission God has given us. "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.
